Mindy Kaling Buys Frank Sinatra's Malibu Mansion for $9.5 Million

Mindy Kaling has got the world on a string.

“The Office” star has scooped up a new Malibu mansion that was owned by late Hollywood legend Frank Sinatra.

Kaling dropped $9.55 million for the two-story oceanfront estate, which is located in the Broad Beach section of the A-list enclave, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The 5,824 sq. ft. luxurious residence features seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms. The first floor includes a dining room, state-of-the-art chef’s kitchen, living room, fireplace and wet bar.

An elevator to the second level leads to a master suite outfitted with two bathrooms, steam room and a hair salon. No more trips to Dry Bar for blowouts!

In addition to views of the Pacific, the grounds include several areas for outdoor entertaining, a pool and 40 feet of sandy beach.

Ol’ Blue Eyes and wife Barbara Sinatra initially purchased the property for $3 million in 1990. Shortly after, they tore down the original cottage and designed the lavish upgrade with late architect Edward “Ted” Grenzbach.

Back in 2018, the Malibu home was put on the market for $13 million. Apparently, Kaling got a good deal.

Besides real estate, the comedy queen and Sinatra also share a movie connection.

The 40-year-old actress appeared in the 2018 film “Ocean’s 8,” which was a spin-off of Steven Soderbergh’s “Ocean’s” trilogy.

Those movies, in turn, were based on the 1960 Rat Pack film “Ocean’s 11,” which featured Sinatra alongside Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr.

Kaling recently appeared in Apple TV’s “The Morning Show” and co-created and wrote the television adaptation of “Four Weddings and a Funeral” for Hulu.
