Orlando Bloom knows he will spend the rest of his life with fiancée Katy Perry.
The 42-year-old actor proposed to the “Firework” singer on Valentine’s Day and expects their upcoming wedding to be the last for both of them.
“It’s important to me that we are aligned — I’ve been married and divorced and I don’t want to do it again,” the “Lord of the Rings” star told Willie Geist in a new interview for “Sunday Today.” “And we’re both fully aware of that. She’s remarkable and so I’m always so impressed with that and I’m encouraged.”
Bloom was previously married to supermodel Miranda Kerr, with whom he shares an eight-year-old son. Perry was briefly married to comedian Russell Brand, and previously revealed she was notified of the break-up via text.
Despite their past heartaches, Bloom says he and Perry are on the same page as far as doing what it takes to make their relationship thrive in the long run.
“I think we’re both fully aware that it’s a mountain to climb and that that mountain won’t stop, in terms of a relationship, because I think that’s what it is,” he added. “And I love to evolve and fortunately, she does too.”
While the happy couple has not revealed a wedding date, they practiced walking down the aisle by hitting up the red carpet premiere of Bloom’s new Amazon series “Carnival Row” this week.
Afterwards, the English actor continued complimenting his bride-to-be in an Instagram post.
“What a night. So grateful to share this bright light @katyperry ,” Bloom captioned a photo from the event alongside Perry. “Makes all the difference having a partner to enjoy the highs, lows and everything in between.”
The “Small Talk” singer returned the love by posting a similar pic from the premiere with the endearing caption: “So proud that I got to stand next to a hero on screen and in real life @orlandobloom.”
