Waiting for the results of the 2020 election to trickle in has been painful for many Americans, but for Rose McGowan, the pain wasn’t just metaphorical.
On Thursday, the actress shared that she broke her arm due to the election… and a bit due to clumsiness.
The actress, who has been vocal about the United States political system and has been critical of both Joe Biden and Donald Trump on social media, is currently in Mexico and commented on the U.S. healthcare system.
“It cost $250 in Mexico for my emergency room visit, compared to a likely 10k hospital bill in California for the same accident,” she wrote on Instagram.
McGowan shared that her father lived in Mexico for years and that she traveled there “to heal my insides and it’s really helping.”
Earlier this year, McGowan caused a stir when she called her former “Charmed” co-star Alyssa Milano “the Leader of the Karens” after Milano’s neighbor called the police to report a possible gunman near her home.
Milano explained that her neighbor called the police after seeing “a man dressed in all black, walking in the woods between our properties with a gun,” which she said is “a rare sight in our parts.”
Officials searched the area where police reported that the alleged gunman was a hunter who was stalking squirrels with an air rifle. Milano also shared that the man called 911 himself to inform police of the situation and to apologize “for the commotion he had caused.”
