Carrie Bradshaw fans may want to hold on to their Manolo Blahniks for this.
The latest shoe in Sarah Jessica Parker’s line of footwear is paying homage to one of Carrie’s classic lines from “Sex and the City.” Me likey!
Measuring 4 inches high, the white stiletto pumps come emblazoned with the words “Hello Lover” written across them in a newsprint font. The right shoe features the Hello in black, while the left has Lover written in pink.
Fashionista aficionados of the HBO series will recall the line from the season four finale when Carrie utters the words after becoming in awe of a pair of pink heels in a store window.
Parker's new heels come in sizes ranging from 4 to 12, but may require a “Mr. Big” sized bank account as each will set you back $395 plus tax.
While the 54-year-old also sells a shoe named “Carrie,” this is the only other time she’s paid tribute to the beloved series with one of her designs from SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker collection, reported the New York Post.
Parker shared photos of her latest creation and included the caption: “I don't know what took us so long…”
The news of the chic accessory should be a welcome treat to fans who were crushed when plans for “Sex and the City 3” were scrapped after Kim Cattrall refused to return.
“I went past the finish line playing Samantha Jones because I loved Sex and the City,” Cattrall told The Guardian. “It was a blessing in so many ways but after the second movie I’d had enough.”
Parker had previously said there was a “beautiful, funny, heartbreaking and very relatable” script for a new sequel, but Cattrall’s refusal to return killed any plans to revive the franchise.
“Sex and the City” premiered in 1998 on HBO and aired for six seasons before signing off in 2004.
Parker, Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon all reprised their roles for the similarly titled feature film in 2008. The sequel, “Sex and the City 2,” came out two years later in 2010.
