Tori Spelling Interview Gets Awkward When She's Asked, 'Are You Able to Pay Your Bills?'

Tori Spelling had to awkwardly discuss her alleged financial issues while doing press for “BH90210” with co-star Jennie Garth.

On the reboot of the beloved ‘90s series, Spelling plays a heightened version of herself who struggles financially to pay her bills.

During an appearance on “Good Day New York,” host Rosanna Scotto brought up Spelling’s real-life money problems which have been reported on in the past, according to the Daily Mail.

"Tori, it's got to hit a little close to home when they start talking about financial problems, right?" Scotto asked.

"That was a choice that I made, and we made together to put that in there," Spelling responded, before acknowledging the press scrutiny. "That's such speculation and the media loves to talk about it. So we were like, 'let's face them straight on and let's put it in there.’”

But it didn’t end there as Scotto demanded a straight-forward answering by asking bluntly, "Are you able to pay your bills?"

“Am I able to pay my bills? Yeah, thank you. I am,” a somewhat frazzled Spelling replied.

Towards the end of the interview Scotto tried to make amends with the actress and apologized by saying, “I'm sorry if I offended you by asking about your finances."

But the “Beverly Hills 90210” alum took it all in stride by jokingly saying, “We're going to write this into the show, so thank you for giving us new material."

Afterwards, Scotto shared a photo alongside the actresses, who both sported interesting facial expression. The news anchor captioned the snap: “Despite what’s “out there” I have no war with @torispelling and @jenniegarth I wish them well on #90210reboot.”

Reports of money troubles have dogged Spelling ever since she received $800K inheritance from her TV mogul father Aaron Spelling’s $600 million fortune.

In 2016, she was sued by American Express for failing to pay $37K in debt.

While earlier this year, she and husband Dean McDermott were sued by City National Bank for $219K in unpaid bills.

"BH90210" premieres August 7that 9pm on FOX.
