As “Friends” is about to celebrate its 25th anniversary, Courteney Cox is really feeling the nostalgia.
The actress channeled her inner Monica Geller in an Instagram video where she uttered her infamous “I know” catchphrase just as she did during the show’s ten-year run, according to Today.
"So, I'm trying to pass on the legacy and teach the younger kids how to say 'I know' as Monica would," the 55-year-old said before actually delivering the line perfectly.
The camera then pans to a small adorable child who attempts the line but doesn’t quite pull it off.
“Well, I mean, it's not there yet, but I'm sure it’s going to get better," Cox added.
This is Cox’s latest homage to the iconic series as earlier this year she shared video outside of the West Village building that was used as exteriors for Monica and Rachel’s rent-controlled apartment.
Fans who want to really get a feel for what the apartment was like will be able to experience it for themselves when the immersive pop-up “Friends25”opens in NYC next month.
In addition to Monica and Rachel’s apartment, the exhibit will have recreations of Chandler and Joey’s apartment, Central Perk coffee shop and the iconic water fountain from the opening credits.
If you can’t make it to Manhattan, there are other ways to celebrate the show’s anniversary like enjoying Central Perk coffee at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf or picking up “Friends”-themed items at Pottery Barn.
It’s hard to believe that it’s been 25 years since “Friends” premiered on September 22, 1994 and made household names out of Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc.
