Bounty Killer and Beenie Man Set to Square off in Next 'Verzuz' Battle

The second round clash set to go down this Memorial Day Weekend
By , RADIO.COM

It’s been settled, the next Verzuz battle is going down this Saturday between Beenie Man and Bounty Killer. The announcement was made yesterday on the competition’s official Instagram page.

If we’re keeping it 100, this isn’t exactly the next match up we were expecting, especially after watching Swizz Beats’ IG Live with Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, Usher and LL Cool J.

With that said, judging by the amount of fire emojis and excited comments the announcement post has already racked up, this battle is sure to be another crowd pleaser.

Beenie and Bounty will go hit for hit in battle that could be referred to as Sound Clash 2.0. Why is that you ask? Well, the GRAMMY-award winning dancehall giants have clashed before at Sting in 1993. They were both teenagers and the clash eventually led to an all out rivalry. The two eventually squashed their beef and had the chance to share a stage at the 2019 Reggae Sumfest. This weekend they’ll get to treat their fans once more, but this time virtually.

Swizz and Timbaland have blessed us with epic Verzuz battles during our time in quarantine. We have seen T-Pain versus Lil Jon, Erykah Badu versus Jill Scott, Babyface versus Teddy Riley, and most recently, Nelly versus Ludacris.

Get ready because this battle is guaranteed to be an amazing night of reggae music. Who’s got your vote for this weekends battle?
