Rapper Busta Rhymes allegedly sparked some turbulence on a flight to London, and was escorted off the plane when it landed at Heathrow Airport.
Witnesses told The Daily Mail the 47-year-old was upset because someone had put their belongings in the overhead bin near his seat. He is said to have become aggressive and rude towards the British woman who claimed the items.
One source told the paper said the woman’s husband tried to intervene, but Busta didn’t back down.
“He said that he was upsetting her when she was clearly happy to move her things,” the source explained. “The husband was trying to diffuse the situation, to which Busta replied, 'Let's go homeboy'.”
Video obtained by The Daily Mail appears to show the aftermath of the incident. At that point Busta can only be seen calmly talking and telling someone that they mistook something he said earlier as a threat.
The flight took off as scheduled from JFK Airport in New York, but the plane was met by police when it landed. Busta was escorted off by not arrested.
'Officers at Heathrow were requested by the airline of an inbound plane to Heathrow Airport from the U.S. to attend following an alleged verbal altercation involving several passengers,” a police spokesperson said.
