Congratulations go out to graduates of the class of 2020 across the country, which now includes Quavo.
The Migos rapper made the announcement on Instagram Tuesday writing, “finally can say I graduated high school class of 2020. We lit. Now what college should I go to?”
Quavo attended Berkmar High School in Lilburn, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. He dropped out of school just months before graduation in order to pursue a career in music. Congratulations go out to the musician for taking his time in quarantine to finish his schooling and earning a high school diploma.
He celebrated the accomplishment with his fans by promising to share a new song later on that night. He delivered alongside his Migos compatriots with the release of a new song called “Need It” featuring YoungBoy Never Broke Again.
This isn’t the first new song Migos has shared in quarantine. Earlier this month, they released the song “Taco Tuesday” featuring a sample from NBA superstar LeBron James.
Paying tribute to the weekly tradition, the song features plenty of taco metaphors.
"Taco Tuesday, I got the cheese, she tastin' the Kool-Aid/ Migo the plug, Guadalupe/ She gon' do what the group say, comprende/ Caliente, she get the bag but she gotta get it ten ways/ Okay, now ándale, ándale/ What the money make?/ We can elevate.”
Quavo teased fans on social media in April with the idea of putting out a quarantine mixtape. With “Taco Tuesday” and “Need It” now released, it looks like the group is making good on their promise.
