Drake Clarifies Kylie Jenner 'Side Piece' Line From Song With Future

Assuring he meant no disrespect

Drake woke up this morning to a whole lotta dramz. On Wednesday night, the Canadian rapper teased some unreleased music on Night Owl Sound's Instagram Live, as he’s been frequently doing as of late. However, one particular track, that features his partner in rhyme Future, name drops the internet’s favorite Lip Kit Kween, Kylie Jenner, referring to her as a “side piece.”

The song itself chronicles their list of conquests, and the lyrics in question go as follows: “Yeah, I’m a hater to society / Real s***, Kylie Jenner that’s a side piece / Yeah, I got 20 motherf***in’ Kylies,” Future spits. Followed by Drake rapping about his own list of "baddies."

Kylie wasn’t the only one who got a shout out, her sister Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, were mentioned as well by Drake. "Yeah, I got 20 damn Kendalls / Young slim baddies and they in vogue / Yeah, I got 20 f***in’ Gigis."

So as any respecting adult would do, Drizzy posted a public apology via his Instagram story, assuring fans that there was no disrespect intended and that the track was actually recorded three years prior.

“A song that Mark ran last night on night owl sound live set shouldn't have been played. It's a song that leaked 3 years ago and got scrapped shortly after. He was just going too deep in the drake/future catalogue. Last thing I'd want to do is wake up having any friends of mine feeling disrespected so I just had to say that to start the day.”

Drake is no stranger to KarJenner related gossip. We all know about his beef with Kanye. And as recent as last October, Drake and Kylie found themselves in the center of swirling romance rumors. Despite all the speculation, the rumors were eventually dismissed.

We have a feeling this isn’t the last we’ll hear of this.
