“The weather may be getting cooler, be we’re just heating up.”
Megan Thee Stallion joined Jimmy Fallon for the first day of fall on The Tonight Show Monday night, ready to take her “Hot Girl Summer” energy into a new season. The two collaborate on a track that shrugs off the shorter days and revels in all the fall activities. The time to get cozy with a, “pumpkin ass beer.”
Just like “Hot Girl Summer” was, “Hot Girl Fall” is a state of mind and a chance for you to live your best life, with more turtlenecks and sweaters. “Getting lit as hell on the hayride, spending all my cash baking mad pies,” Meg raps as the duo unleash their autumn assault. Black Thought from The Roots also dips in to spit his ode to plaid, and to shout out J. Crew. It’s the freshest song about pumpkins and back-to-school supplies you’ll hear all week.
“Hot Girl Fall” is great, but we were already set for “Hot Nerd Fall.” Meg declared it so earlier this year, as a tribute to all those living their best life in school.
“Being a hot girl is like a lifestyle, and everyone knows I’m still in college,” explained the junior at Texas Southern University in an interview with Access Hollywood last month. “It’s gonna be a real hot girl semester, you know what I’m saying? Real Hot Nerd Fall, so I’m just about to start puttin’ on for all my school girls.”
