Week after week Megan Thee Stallion continues to add major accomplishments to her repertoire of triumphs. The rapper announced that she will be making her debut as Saturday Night Live’s musical guest for the variety show’s season 46 premiere.
Meg will perform on SNL alongside guest host Chris Rock. The superstar rapper shared that she’d be performing on SNL just days after she was nominated for Top Female Rap Artist at the 2020 Billboard Music Awards, and the cherry on top… the “WAP” collaborator was also honored in TIME’s annual 100 most influential people list.
On Instagram, the Texas native shared her gratitude for being named on the 100 most influential people list and wrote, “STILL I RISE YOUNG BLACK WOMAN FROM HOUSTON TEAXS ON THE COVER OF TIME MAGAZINE AS ONE OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE IN THE WORLD.”
In 2020 the powerhouse MC has collaborated with Beyoncé and Cardi B, scored two number one global hits, began her brand ambassadorship with Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty brand and numerous other brands, and garnered the attention of the public eye both through her music and through her nature to spark viral conversations.
Saturday Night Live returns on October 3 on NBC.
