“#Preggers” is all Nicki Minaj needed to say to share the news of her pregnancy with the world.
The “Super Bass” singer broke the news on her Instagram account sharing a photo showing off her baby bump.
In the video, fans pointed out that Minaj was trying to hide her baby bump by avoiding any shots showing off her stomach.
Now that the news is official, congratulations are in order to Nicki Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty on their first child.
She shocked fans last fall when she said she was going to retire from music to focus on her family. While the retirement part hasn’t come to fruition, she made good on her promise to have her family.
“I’ve decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now. To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of mew, in the box – cuz ain’t nobody checkin me. Love you for LIFE,” she tweeted at the time.
Since that time, Minaj has scored a hit with the aforementioned 6ix9ine collaboration “TROLLZ,” but also with her first “post-retirement” single “Yikes.” While it’s not the lead single for a new album, it is a promotional release teasing an upcoming record.
