T.I. and 50 Cent are teaming up to create a brand new show based on the story of Derrick Parker, the police officer investigating the deaths of Tupac, Notorious B.I.G., and Jam Master Jay.

According to Variety, CBS All Access is developing the series titled “Twenty Four Seven.” The series will be based off the book Notorious C.O.P.: The Inside Story of the Tupac, Biggie, and Jam Master Jay Investigations from NYPD’s First ‘Hip-Hop Cop' by Parker and Matt Diehl.

Variety reports that T.I. is set to star in the series while 50 Cent will be an executive producer of the show.

Both T.I. and 50 Cent have extensive experience in film and television. No official release date for the series has been announced.

An overview of the book reads, “As head of the first special force unit devoted exclusively to the investigation of hip-hop crime, first-grade detective Derrick Parker worked on some of the biggest criminal cases in rap history. From the shooting at Club New York to the murder of Tupac Shakur, Derrick was on the inside of hip-hop's most notorious crimes.”
