Less than a week after he posted a picture of himself on Instagram spending quality time with his elderly father, Poison frontman Bret Michaels postponed two shows to be by his bedside. A spokesman says Wally Sychak suffered a heart attack and is on life support.
“Wally is a veteran, a fighter and survivor whom Bret rushed to be by his side and will be with him through this difficult time,” Patrick Edwards of Michaels Entertainment Group said. “This happened just 48 hours after Bret had spent the week with his father, who recently joined his son at his record-breaking performance in Sunbury, Pennsylvania.
Michaels talked about the Sunbury show in the Instagram post. He said he and his dad were taking an “awesome” drive and said his dad loved the show.
“Dad said he’s so proud to be from #Pennsylvania & loved the Sunbury show,” Michaels wrote. “He was sorry he couldn’t make it up on stage with all the #veterans & first responders last night and thanks all the fans & family for their support of those who served like himself and Cousin Bob.”
The shows that were postponed were August 2 in Orlando which has been rescheduled for August 23, and Aug 3 in Rock Hill, SC which has been rescheduled for August 24.
