Celine Dion is grateful for the love she’s received from fans following the death of her mother Therese Dion.
The French-Canadian singer thanked supporters in a black-and-white portrait photo of Therese that she shared on Instagram on Thursday morning.
“On behalf of my entire family, I would like to thank all of you for your expressions of sympathy, which have touched us very deeply,” Dion captioned the photo.
“If you wish, you can write a note or make a donation on the Fondation Maman Dion website. Helping children in need, will help us to heal,” the caption, shared in both English and her native French, continued.
Therese Dion passed away on Jan. 16 at the age of 92.
Dion hit the stage in Miami one day after her mother’s death, reports Daily Mail.
“I'm pretty sure that you heard the news about my mom passing away early this morning,” the emotional singer said during the performance.
“But I’m doing okay and we’re all doing okay,” she went on.
Therese, who was nicknamed Maman Dion, worked as a television host and philanthropist. She had 14 children.
