Chicken or Tuna, or Nick Lachey: Jessica Simpson Spills on 'Newlyweds' and Public Divorce in New Memoir

Jessica Simpson is ready to tell all.

The fashion mogul has announced she’s releasing a memoir that will include details of her four-year marriage to 98 Degrees singer Nick Lachey, according to Page Six.

Simpson isn’t being shy about the details as she disclosed the news on social media.

“I have been waiting for so long to share some exciting news...I will be releasing my first book on February 4th with @harpercollinsus,” the 39-year-old captioned a photo of herself at the publishing house. “I have been working so hard on it - I have opened my heart up in a way I never have before and now I can’t wait to share it with the world.”

While she didn’t reveal the book’s title, a press release stated it promises to give a candid look into everything from “her popular television show Newlyweds, to a very public divorce, starring on the big screen and topping the Billboard charts, finding new love, raising a family, and running a successful business empire.”

Simpson and Lachey were married from 2002 to 2006 and were one of the first to jump on the reality television train by documenting their relationship on the MTV series Newlyweds for three seasons. Who can forget the classic question: Is it chicken or tuna?

After divorcing Lachey, she married former NFL player Eric Johnson in 2014. The couple share three children: daughter Maxwell, 7, son Ace, 6, and newborn daughter Birdie, 3 months.

While initially skyrocketing to fame with a singing career, Simpson then tried her hand at acting by starring in films such as The Dukes of Hazzard, Employee of the Month and Blonde Ambition.

But it’s her Jessica Simpson Collection fashion line that has proven to be most lucrative, reportedly earning over $1 billion in sales.
