Workers in the music industry have been hit hard by COVID-19 as numerous events and concerts around the world have been canceled or postponed.

Live Nation is working towards providing those workers relief during these times with the establishment of Crew Nation. The live-entertainment company created the charitable fund to help support crew members affected by coronavirus.

The company is contributing an initial $5 million donation and will match the next $5 million donated by artists, fans, and employees dollar for dollar.

“Live music inspires millions around the world, but the concerts we all enjoy wouldn’t be possible without the countless crew members working behind the scenes,” a statement on Live Nation’s website reads. “As COVID-19 puts concerts on pause, we want to extend a helping hand to the touring and venue crews who depend on shows to make a living.”

Artists such as Coldplay, U2, Twenty One Pilots, Jason Aldean, Justin Timberlake, Post Malone, Lady Gaga, Foo Fighters, Billie Eilish, Reba McEntire, Madonna, Harry Styles, and Pearl Jam have already pledged support to the program.

Live Nation has also launched their Live From Home series allowing fans to connect with their favorite artists as they perform live from their homes. The Live From Home series features numerous events each day mixing concerts, podcasts, question and answer sessions, and more.

John Mayer, Diplo, Andrea Bocelli, Jimmy Buffett, Lennon Stella, Jeff Ross, Questlove, Meghan Trainor, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and many more already have events lined up.
