Sophie Perry has penned another endearing tribute to her late father, Luke Perry.
This time, the 19-year-old’s focus was on Perry’s final performance in Quentin Tarantino’s film “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood."
“It both breaks my heart and fills it with pride at the same time, to know that this film, this little point in history, is here," Sophie captioned a photo of a billboard featuring Perry’s character from the movie. "My dad has never been more excited in his life than he was to be part of this.”
The activist went to draw parallels between her father’s excitement and to how she felt landing in Malawi to begin her missionary work.
While she admitted the moment is bittersweet, overall, her sentiment is one of pride over his accomplishment.
“And while I wish so greatly that my dad had a million more roles, and projects, and moments of childlike excitement... I am so proud and thankful that this got to be his last,” she added. “He was proud. He is proud. And I can’t wait for you all to see it. “
Sophie’s kind words come after her brother Jack Perry shared his own tribute to their father in a video showing the 22-year-old wrestler climbing up on the Perry’s billboard on the Sunset Strip.
It’s been nearly five months since the former “Beverly Hills, 90210” star died suddenly from a massive stroke at the age of 52.
“Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” is getting rave reviews and currently has an 89% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
In addition to Perry, the movie – which opens on Friday - stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie and Dakota Fanning.
