On Friday night Miley Cyrus returned for her second MTV Unplugged, and of course, she totally crushed it. If we had to describe the evening in three words, we’d say, covers, jungle, lady-mullet would pretty much sum it up. Oh can we also add lighting to that list, because it was truly impeccable.

Backed by her masked band, she’s dubbed as "The Social Distancers," Miley kicked things off with bluesy rock rendition of Britney Spears’ "Gimmie More," that had us saying gimme, gimme more covers Miley! She must have heard us because that’s exactly what she did.

Fully glitzed out for the stripped-down production, rocking her platinum mullet, red lipstick, and animal prints galore, Miley continued the rest of her 30-minute set paying homage to her heroes outside of the pop genre. On deck was Pearl Jam, choosing a more recent hit, “Just Breath,” she then gave us Lou Reed vibes al la Velvet Underground and mellowed things out with “Sweet Jane.”

Next she made us feel feelings with the dreamy 2003 tune “Communication” by The Cardigans. And then hit us with a little sister slay action, singing Noah Cyrus’ track “I Got So High That I Saw Jesus,” alongside her little sis.

Making sure our weekend was covered (lol get it), Miley once again unleashed her inner rock glam goddess on the historic stage of West Hollywood rock club Whisky a Go Go for the virtual Save Our Stages Fest on Saturday night.

All for a good cause to help raise money and awareness for independent music venues forced to indefinitely close because of the coronavirus pandemic, Miley hit the empty venue stage with, you guessed it, some more covers. On the set list, The Cure's "Boys Don't Cry" and The Cranberries' “Zombie,” and yeah she slayed it, see for yourself below.

Basically this weekend was amazing, and now we’re just here, left wanting more. Please Miley gimme more, gimme gimme more!
