Everyone loves Baby Yoda including people associated with the "Star Wars" franchise.
Jon Favreau, “The Mandalorian’s” showrunner and executive producer, posted the cutest photo of Baby Yoda bonding with “Star Wars” creator George Lucas.
The photo posted to Instagram shows the little green alien nestled in his arms as Lucas looks down at him.
"Looks like a grandfather holding his grandson," one Instagram user mused while another added, "The Maker and The Child."
Fans of the Force-sensitive alien rejoiced when Favreau recently announced that Disney+ renewed the series for a second season coming this fall.
During the announcement, Favreau also gave fans a sneak peek at what to expect introducing another green alien called a Gamorrean.
“Star Wars” super fans will recognize him from “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.”
In the season one finale, which you can stream now, two Stormtroopers played by guest-stars Adam Pally and Jason Sudeikis kidnapped Baby Yoda.
Pally’s character was tasked with delivering the Force-sensitive alien to Moff Gideon. At one point, he goes to check on Baby Yoda who bites his finger causing him to throw a punch.
“I remember the first take that I did when I punched it… They called ‘cut’ and Jon, who was watching on a monitor in his office, came down and said, "I just want to let you know that this is the hero [expensive puppet] and it costs, like, $5 million. I want you to hit it, but I want you to know that," Pally told reporters at the TCA winter press tour.
