Scooby Doo is coming back with a star-studded cast. The first official trailer for the new Scooby Doo movie, “Scoob!,” is available.
The heart-wrenching trailer shows best friends Scooby Doo and Shaggy as they embark on their journey of finding the bad guys. The film marks the first look at the animated release that was announced back in 2014.
This animation is different from its predecessors as it’s the first Scooby Doo movie made with 3D CGI animation. Zac Efron voices Fred, Amanda Seyfried voices Daphne, Gina Rodriguez is the voice behind Velma, Will Forte is Shaggy, and Scooby voice actor Frank Welter is returning to reprise his role.
The story aims to tell fans how the lifelong friends Scooby and Shaggy first met and where they picked up their detective friends Fred, Velma, and Daphne along the way. The film then takes viewers to the present as the gang attempts to solve their “biggest, most challenging mystery ever.”
The voice cast also features Kiersey Clemons, Jason Isaacs, Ken Jeong, Tracy Morgan, and Mark Wahlberg. The film is directed by Tony Cervone.
“Scoob!” is set to be released on May 15th of 2020.
