With the break over, it’s time for the takeover.
BTS are wasting no time in 2020, announcing that they will return with the latest in their MAP OF THE SOUL series on February 21.
MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 follows April’s chart-topping and record-breaking MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA, which launched BTS into yet another level and served as the preview of their sold out run across the US. According to a release from Big Hit Entertainment, the new LP will continues on the themes of “finding joy in love and reaching out to the world,” that the band explored with their last release.
MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA made history as the K-pop group’s third number one album in the span of one year, helping BTS break any record they could find on tour, on YouTube, at the box office, and beyond.

BTS famously took a break to “rest and recharge” last year, coming back with a few collaborations and remix to “Make It Right” featuring Lauv. However, MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 marks the official start to the next chapter, with the ARMY growing stronger every day.
Pre-orders for the new album start on Thursday January 9. BTS is expected to tour again in April.
