BTS has postponed their upcoming Map Of The Soul Tour, originally set to start on April 25. The group’s management company, Big Hit Entertainment, made the announcement Thursday night via the social media app, Weverse.
“We would like to inform you that there will be some adjustments to the upcoming BTS MAP OF THE SOUL TOUR- NORTH AMERICA schedule in order to make sure that we put the safety of everyone involved first and foremost,” reads the statement.
Originally set to kick off on April 25 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, CA, the North American run has been rescheduled for a later date as the coronavirus pandemic continues. Tickets will be honored for the new dates, with information coming once it’s available.
“We are closely monitoring and following the guidance of all local governments regarding public events to ensure we are providing a safe environment for everyone involved as we continue to update our tour plans,” they continue. “We ask for your further patience and understanding as we continue to work to bring you the best and safest concert experience as soon as we can.”
Earlier this month, BTS shared with RADIO.COM that they worked extremely hard on bringing their epic new album, Map Of The Soul: 7, to the stage for fans around the world.
“We worked really hard on this tour, and we prepared more for this than any other tour before,” V explained. “We prepared a lot of new things, new performances. So we are really looking forward to this tour, and I hope you can look forward to the tour as well.”
