Camila Cabello Slams Body-Shamers In a Message to Her Fans

Camila Cabello has spoken out against the unattainable beauty standards in the media and revealed her own experience being body-shamed in a message to her young fans, reported People.

The 22-year-old posted the note on her Instagram Story after accidentally seeing an article that dealt with people criticizing her looks.

"Honestly first thing I felt was super insecure just IMAGINING what these pictures must look like, oh no! My cellulite! Oh no! I didn't suck in my stomach!" the Havana singer wrote. "But then I was like... of course there are bad pictures, of course there are bad angles… but the saddest part of young girls growing up in an airbrushed world is they're seeking a perfection that's not real."

She then pointed out how editing and airbrushing images are giving young girls impossible standards of what is considered normal.

“We have a completely unrealistic view of a woman's body,” Cabello continued. “Girls, cellulite is normal, fat is normal. It's beautiful and natural. I won't buy into the bull**** today!"

On a happier note, Cabello has a lot to celebrate as her latest single “Senorita” with rumored boyfriend Sean Mendes is currently #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The pair have collaborated before having recorded the 2015 hit “I Know What You Did Last Summer.”

Although the “Senorita” video saw the young singers get sultry on screen, Cabello and Mendes were recently photographed kissing in real life while frolicking on the beach in Miami.

While neither has officially commented on the status of their relationship, Cabello recently became single after breaking it off with her boyfriend of over a year, Matthew Hussey.
