Harry Styles’ iconic looks aren’t going to preserve themselves! A designer for the star has just revealed that he keeps his best outfits under temperature-controlled lock and key.
Harris Reed is the designer behind Styles’ look for the new “Lights Up” music video. In an interview with British GQ, Reed revealed that the musician’s garments are heavily protected with a complicated system – and it’s basically a giant refrigerator.
“I can’t say where it is located, but everything goes to an archive. It’s basically like a giant refrigerator – a frozen vault – somewhere in London where I am not going to disclose,” Reed reveals.
“But the clothes all have 24 hours surveillance, which you can look at via an iPad, specifically done for his outfits, and they have all been cryogenically frozen in time to preserve them,” he continues.
With so many custom looks in his closet, Styles has to make sure that they stay fresh and watched over. “That’s also what is more surreal for me,” Reed explains, “After his first solo tour that I produced 14-15 looks for – he wore about six or seven – I was wondering where the others were and he was like, ‘Don’t worry, they are all under surveillance.’”
