Harry Styles Breaks Silence on Knifepoint Robbery, Announces 'Harryween'

The singer stopped by the ‘Today’ show

Harry Styles has spoken out for the first time following a reported knifepoint robbery on Valentine’s Day, addressing the situation during a stop at the Today show. The “Adore You” singer was reportedly approached by a man with a knife earlier this month, asked to hand over his cash while in London.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed they were investigating the incident, after the Mirror Online first reported the story last week. "It was reported that a man in his 20s was approached by another man and threatened him with a knife,” they shared in a statement. "The victim was not injured; however, cash was taken from him. No arrests [were made] and enquiries are ongoing."

Today show host Carson Daly briefly addressed the situation during an interview on Wednesday with Styles. "I'm okay, thanks, thank you. Thanks for asking," Harry responded.

Harry was in New York for a big performance for the show, that he came with a big announcement. After Styles ends his Love On Tour 2020, he will return to New York City for two shows at Madison Square Garden on October 30 and 31. The Halloween dates are being dubbed “Harryween,” with fans being asked to dress up for the shows.

Tickets for the new dates will go on sale to the general public on March 6.
