Justin Bieber is the latest to change his plans as the coronavirus pandemic continues, with the singer being forced to postpone his 2020 Changes Tour. The 45-date trek across the country was supposed to kick off on May 14, but it will now be delayed in the interest of safety for everyone involved.
“In light of the current public health crisis, and with the deepest concern for all those being affected, Justin Bieber will be postponing all currently scheduled 2020 dates for The Changes Tour,” reads the statement about the decision to delay the tour.
“While Justin — along with his band, dancers and crew — has been hard at work preparing an amazing show, he has always put the health and well-being of his fans first and foremost. Justin is anxiously awaiting the opportunity to get back out on the road and perform in a space that is safe for everyone.”
Fans are being asked to hold on to their tickets, as they will be honored for the rescheduled dates.
Along with the album and tour came a YouTube docuseries, chronicling Bieber’s battle with addiction and fame, showing the struggles that sidelined his last tour and his process for recording his fifth studio album.
Rescheduled dates for the 2020 Changes Tour will be announced at a later date.
