Miley Cyrus is opening up about her divorce from Liam Hemsworth over a year after their split. Now, Cyrus is detailing the crushing feelings that come along with ending a 10-year relationship.
In an interview on Barstool Sports' "Call Her Daddy" podcast (per Yahoo), Cyrus revealed how she really feels about splitting from "The Hunger Games" star. "I had a very public, very big breakup that was over a 10-year span of a relationship," she begins to explain.
"It's like a death when you lose a love that deep. It feels like death," she went on to describe.
But Cyrus recognizes that sometimes, death can be even easier for one reason in particular. "Honestly, sometimes [death] even feels easier because [with a breakup] the person is still walking on the earth," she says.
There was one good thing to come from her heartbreaking divorce, however. Cyrus went on to explain that she's recovered her sense of self since splitting from Hemsworth. "Going through a massive breakup, one thing I gained through all the loss is an idea that what I do is for me."
Now, Cyrus is on the heels of her breakup from Cody Simpson. Reports began to circle that the pair had broken up just last week. The two dated for 10 months before calling it quits, which Cyrus confirmed on an Instagram Live last week.
The "Wrecking Ball" singer even revealed what type of person she's looking for in a next partner.
"I've been very experimental. I just really don't have a type," she explains.
