Welcome back Selena Gomez.
The singer returned last month with “Lose You To Love Me,” the first song from her new era and now her first ever number one. Gomez gushed on social media on Monday about the honor, marking the occasion with a sweet caption to fans.
“This song is so dear to my heart. I’ve been working so hard to make this album as honest and fun as possible while remaining vulnerable enough to share where I am in life,” she wrote. “I love you deeply and thank you so much for listening. I want to thank each and every person that was a part of this moment that I’ll never forget!”
The personal anthem is important to Gomez, who shared with us some of the emotions in making “Lose You To Love Me.”
“I wanted to get out a lot of the feelings that I was experiencing, but in a way where it was, more saying I’m frustrated and I’m feeling these things and it’s complicated but I’m okay with closing this chapter and I’m okay with moving forward,” Selena told RADIO.COM. “Which is something I’ve had a hard time with in the past.”

“I wanted it to be a declaration of where I am, and hopefully for other people who have experienced what I’ve experienced, just to know that feeling is valid,” she added. “Hopefully they can feel peace about that.”
The song has sent shockwaves across the internet, with Selenators around the world screaming their support for the single.
“Lose You To Love Me” is now available everywhere.
