Taylor Swift fed fans Thursday morning with a live performance just one day before the release of Lover, singing three songs for the packed Central Park crowd. But hours before it was Taylor’s Dad Scott literally feeding fans, handing out pizza and guitar pics along with Taylor’s team to those waiting to see the star.
Taylor performed the two lead singles from Lover on GMA, and offered some #TBT feelings with a performance of “Shake It Off.” Swift also sat down with Robin Roberts, and elaborated on her plan to re-record her albums.
“One thing about this album that’s really special to me is that it’s the first one that I will own, of my work,” she said as the crowd erupted. On Wednesday it was revealed that Swift plans to re-record her albums, after her catalog was sold to Scooter Braun earlier this year.

“It’s something that I’m very excited about doing,” she added. “My contract says that starting November 2020, so next year, I can record albums one through five all over again.”
“I think that artists deserve to own their work. I feel very passionate about that.”
On Friday, Swift will release her seventh studio album, Lover. Taylor talked more with Roberts about the title track and the importance it holds saying, “I think every lyric on the song ‘Lover.’ I’m really proud of that song,” she smiled. “That song is like a cozy warm blanket for me.”
