Ariana Grande is at the helm of the new Charlie’s Angels soundtrack and she’s bringing some powerful women with her. The 11 track effort co-produced by the “7 rings” singer brings together some of her most fierce and famous female friends, combining across the LP in amazing ways.
We already knew about Grande’s lights out collaboration with Lana Del Rey and Miley Cyrus, but were you prepared for her to link up with Nicki Minaj and Normani? The three come together on “Bad To You,” a bouncy unrequited bop, featuring three generations of talent. Not in the traditional sense, but it’s clear that Grande has taken the mentor relationship she has with Minaj and used it to help guide Normani as she navigates her solo career. The two were together on the Sweetener World Tour, and the “Motivation” singer has been very vocal about the support she has received from Ariana.
The song is just the tip for collaborations on Charlie’s Angels, with Grande playing pop matchmaker with singers like Kim Petras, Kiana Ledé, and the better-than-ever Chaka Khan. Ariana also duets with friend Victoria Monét, and offers up a grinder called, “How I Look On You.”
Charlie’s Angels stars Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska and is written and directed by Elizabeth Banks. The film is in theaters on November 15.
The Charlie’s Angels soundtrack is now available everywhere.
