Biography: The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne will span Ozzy’s tumultuous journey from childhood poverty and time in prison, to biting the heads off a pair of doves during a meeting with record executives. The two-hour documentary also explores how Ozzy worked tirelessly to re-invent his sound as tastes in music shifted throughout the years. Recently, Ozzy provided vocals for the Post Malone and Travis Scott track “Take What You Want.”
But the documentary focuses on more than just his sprawling music career. The 71-year-old also reflects on intimate details regarding his recent Parkinson’s diagnosis revelation, including never-before-seen interviews with Sharon, Kelly and Jack Osbourne as well as artist like Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie and Post Malone.
During a recent interview on The Talk, Ozzy’s son Jack had positive words for the project. “Even mom, who's been the kind of over watch of Dad's entire life, I remember when we did the first screening for it, 'Okay, that's good,'" he said. Sharon, a host of The Talk and Ozzy's wife added "I was really, really surprised. I didn't think that it was going be that honest and that good."
A&E has another treat lined up for the next day. Following on Tuesday, September 8 at 9pm ET/PT, they will release Biography: I Want My MTV. It charts the rise of MTV and how its programming became a cultural phenomenon that defined a generation.
