No one takes music packaging more seriously that Tool, and they’re not done blowing minds with Fear Inoculum.
Copies of the physical album keep selling out, but the band is restocking with an expanded book edition that will be released on December 13th.
The latest offering includes five 3D lenticular cards with exclusive graphics, a 56-page booklet with previously unseen art, a download of the visual experience video “Recusant Ad Infinitum” and the CD itself.
The sold out version of Fear Inoculum included a 4” HD rechargeable screen and a 2 watt speaker, in addition to some of the extras being offered with the new expanded book edition.
Fear Inoculum debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 after Tool fans waited 13 years for new music. The LP achieved several milestones, including knocking Taylor Swift’s new album from the top spot on the chart, and breaking a record previously held by Twenty One Pilots for most songs in the top 10 on the Rock Songs chart.
Tool has been supporting the new album with highly-anticipated live shows, one of which was attended by Eddie Van Halen, and more dates were recently added. The tour has been extended through at least February 1st in New Orleans. Just make sure to leave your cell phones in your pockets.
