A new trailer for the highly-anticipated independent film Sno Babies features a hauntingly beautiful tune as the soundtrack.
The Bad Wolves song “Sober” from their 2019 sophomore album N.A.T.I.O.N. plays in the background of the trailer. The film is due out on September 29th.
Check out the trailer below.
“Sno Babies is a story sadly reminiscent of others who have tragically lost their lives to addiction including Prince, Tom Petty, Mac Miller, Juice WRLD and others. The good news is that many others did reach out for help in time, and are now amongst the 22 million people living in long-term recovery in the U.S. today,” a statement on the film’s website reads.
Back in March, Bad Wolves launched the Wolfpack Recovery charity campaign to help fight addiction. The initiative benefits Rock to Recovery, which uses music therapy to help those battling addiction, as well as eating disorders and mental health issues.
The band shared the song “Sober” at the time of the announcement, which featured a short teaser clip from the film.
"This song was a unique opportunity to talk about addiction not only from the perspective of the addict but also from the perspective of their loved ones," frontman Tommy Vext said at the time.
"The message is very different from traditional songs that seem to always perpetuate a mentality of self victimization, which is exactly the kind of misguided thinking that perpetuates the mental obsessive side of alcoholism and addiction," he explains. "In the end, the moral of the story is about holding on to not giving up on ourselves or the people who are trying -- who are really, really trying to make and better themselves."
