It’s been another amazing summer for Volbeat, as the band continues to spread their special brand of rock around the world.
The Danish group dropped their seventh studio album, Rewind, Replay, Rebound, their first since 2016. They also lit up radio with the lead single, “Last Day Under The Sun” and joined Slipknot on the road for their Knotfest Roadshow.
“The whole point for us going into the studio, is because you still have something to prove" frontman Michael Poulsen explained before the album’s release. "Not just for the fans, but mostly for yourself. We would not be able to do this record if it wasn’t for the work we have done in the past. No matter how old the band gets or how many records we do, there is always going to be that signature sound.”
As their tour made its way across the country, Volbeat stopped by Pain In The Grass 2019, a three-day celebration of rock from RADIO.COM and KISW in Seattle. There we captured Volbeat doing what they do best, shredding through their infectious set and amping up the crowd.
“Coming all the way from Denmark to get a f***ing crowd like this is amazing,” Poulsen announced from the stage as the audience erupted. “You look like happy people. I love it, man.”
