A throwback clip of Rage Against The Machine frontman Zack de la Rocha's old band Hard Stance has surfaced showing their 1990 appearance at Hollywood Live in Los Angeles, California - and it's definitely not the Zack you're used to.
The band was formed in 1987 and had a few lineup changes, fronted at the time of this recording by vocalist Eric Ernst with Zack on guitar. Zack eventually filled the lead vocalist void and would go on to form Inside Out with the remaining members and the addition of Vic DiCara on guitar.
Distributed by California punk label Revelation Records, the band's unreleased second album was to be titled Rage Against The Machine - but destiny had other plans. Rage Against The Machine took shape a year later with all new members Brad Wilk, Tom Morello and Tim Commerford.
A disclaimer at the beginning of the clip reads: "The following footage was recovered from a tape owned by the Haworth family and provided to hate5six.com for digitization, restoration, and online preservation. The identity of the original filmer is currently unknown but will be made clear in the description should they come forward."
So, if you're the person behind the camera, you might want to contact the folks who posted it to YouTube. After you relive your youth, of course.
