Are wedding bells ringing for Dog the Bounty Hunter?
The reality star, whose real name is Duane Chapman, has found love again after losing his wife, Beth Chapman, to cancer in June.
A teaser clip for an upcoming episode of “The Dr. Oz Show" shows Chapman proposing to his new girlfriend Moon Angell.
“Moon Angell, will you marry me?” he asks as Angell and Dr. Oz looks on, shocked.
The teaser for the February 3 interview cuts before Angell answers.
Will she say yes?
Dog the Bounty Hunter, who admitted he contemplated suicide after his wife lost her two-year battle with lung and throat cancer in 2019, seems to be in a much better place.
However, that doesn’t mean his friends and family members are supportive of his new relationship or how quickly he moved on.
“I have lots of enemies right now,” Chapman told Oz.
The most outspoken family member has been Chapman’s daughter, Lyssa Chapman, who claims Angell dated her brother before pursuing her grieving father.
“If someone who met your family by dating your brother, tried to date your father after your step-mom died what would you do?” she posted on social media earlier this month before adding, “If you went to your mother's closet and saw she moved all her clothes and replaced them with her own, what would you do? #ItsNotWhenOrWhyItsWho.”
Lyssa continued to disapprove of the relationship by writing, “His money. His dynasty. But you can guarantee that my name is not going down in history as a person who supported this.”
Chapman clapped back in an interview shortly after to defend Angell, who he said supported him following Beth’s dead, unlike his children.
He also added that she would never replace Beth.
“Who knows what my future holds, but right now I need her. There will never be another Mrs. Dog but that doesn’t mean I have to be so sad,” he said.
This would be Chapman’s sixth marriage.
