It’s the beginning of the end for "Modern Family."
After 11 seasons, the long-running series is signing off in less than two months and the cast is definitely getting all the feels.
Several of the show’s stars took to social media to express their emotions as they prepared for the final table read ahead of the series finale in April.
"Our last table read sad because its ending but so grateful and happy to have been able to be part of this family," Sofia Vergara captioned a series of photos from the set.
“It has [been] More than I ever dreamed of or deserved. Gracias my Modern Family.”
Co-star Eric Stonestreet shared a video of himself staring into the camera while members of the cast and crew shuffle around in the background preparing for the last script meeting.
To further the stress the sentimental vibe of the moment, Stonestreet included Trace Adkins’ song “You’re Gonna Miss This” to the clip and added the caption, “Final table read of an 11 year show. Episode 250.”
While Jesse Tyler Ferguson took to his Instagram to post an image of the final script and wrote, "They left tissues for all of us. This is it” and added the crying face emoji.
“Modern Family” premiered in 2009 and was an instant ratings hit. The show has won 22 Primetime Emmy Awards, including five for Best Comedy Series.
Back in 2019, it was announced that the upcoming 11th season would be its last.
Get your tissues ready, because the final episode airs Wednesday, April 8th at 9pm on ABC.
