The force is coming to your television screens.
A new trailer for the Disney + “Star Wars” series “The Mandalorian” proves fans can expect the same level of quality they’ve become accustomed to seeing on the big screen.
Set five years after the “Return of the Jedi” and the fall of the Empire, the clip starts out with a shot of Storm Trooper helmets hung up on spikes as a voiceover says, "Is the world more peaceful since the revolution?"
The Mandalorian appears in his mask and uniform and is quickly thrown into a fight with a strange new enemy as the voiceover continues, "It is a shame that your people suffered, but bounty hunting is a complicated profession."
The video goes on to show large ships traveling through space, exotic new creatures, and more battles with Storm Troopers.
"Mandalorian, look outside. They're waiting for you,” the voiceover says as the bounty hunter responds, “Yeah? Good.”
“Narcos” actor Pedro Pascal stars in the titular role, although we never see him unmasked.
The trailer also includes quick shots of other cast members such as Carl Weathers, Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito and the introduction of a new droid, IG-11.
The “Star Wars” spinoff is Lucasfilm’s first live-action series and will be the new streaming service’s first big tentpole production.
Along with “The Mandalorian,” customers who drop $6.99 for a monthly subscription will get access to Disney’s streaming library of animated classics like “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” in addition to blockbuster Marvel films like “Avengers: Endgame” and “Captain Marvel.”
“The Mandalorian” and Disney + are both set to launch on November 12th.
