"This Is Us" creator Dan Fogelman addressed a list of questions from a Deadline Contenders viewer on Sunday in a tweet. One of those questions regarded whether or not the show would be addressing the coronavirus pandemic.
"Yes on Covid," Fogelman said. "We've decided to attack things head on. Very proud of @ThisIsUsWriters."
While Fogelman didn't elaborate on how the pandemic would affect the Pearson family, he seemed to pretty bluntly say that the pandemic would play a big role in how the show progresses.
That being said, even with the addition of the pandemic to the storyline, the show won't be taking any major twists or turns. "Same planned ending. Same route to get there," he explained.
Fogelman also addressed a series of other questions, including when the show would resume filming and put out new episodes for "This Is Us" fans. "Not sure yet on production start," he began. "Not sure when new eps will air."
Fans are itching for more Pearson family content considering the shocking ending to the Season 4 finale.
Recently, actress Chrissy Metz admitted that the show makes her cry just as much as the next person.
I read the script, I’m in the script, I shot the show and every time without fail I get on the couch, my best friend and I watch it, and I’m like ‘my god!'" she explained.
"Because when the music comes together and I don’t see the other scenes and the way that they edit… I don’t want to say it's perfect, but it’s perfect,” exclaims the actress. She continues, “I cry, for sure I cry.”
