Trump is considering resurrecting 'The Apprentice,' 'Celebrity Apprentice': Report

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- One of the ideas President Trump is bouncing around for his post-White House life? Resurrecting his former NBC reality competition show "The Apprentice" or its spinoff "The Celebrity Apprentice," according to The Daily Beast.

Trump has mentioned the idea -- which signals he's accepted his obvious election loss -- to his aides, sources told the media outlet.

The Daily Beast, citing two people familiar with the matter, said that Trump has "casually slipped into conversation lines such as, 'How would you like to see The Apprentice come back? and 'Remember The Apprentice?'"

Trump has reminded those he has spoken with about the shows' possible revival about their high ratings and ability to generate revenue for him and creator Mark Burnett.

The New York Times reported in September that Trump enjoyed a profit of about $197 million over 16 years from "The Apprentice."

A looming problem, though? Would any major network be interested.

A spokesperson for Burnett, who asked to remain anonymous, told The Daily Beast, "Not true. Zero discussions about TV." The White House did not comment.
