Thomas Rhett was quick to notice a sign in the crowd during his show in Darien Lake, NY on Friday.

A young fan in the front held up a large, yellow piece of poster board with a simple but important checklist. Beat Cancer, check. Attend a Thomas Rhett concert, check.

All that was left for 11-year-old Madison Muckle was to snap a selfie with Thomas.

"Oh my gosh, hold on two seconds” Rhett said after discovering the sign. “Get up here” he continued, inviting the young fan onto the stage.

According to a report by WKBU in Buffalo, Muckle was diagnosed with lymphocytic leukemia just days after her third birthday. After years of intense treatments, Madison was finally declared cancer-free in April of 2018.

As a gift, Madison’s mom surprised her with tickets to see Thomas Rhett.

“Madison, it was such a pleasure meeting you!” Rhett wrote later on Instagram. “May God continue to bless you and your sweet family. Hope you had a great time at the show.”

Rhett continues his tour on August 1st. You can find the full list of dates here.
