Khalid is traveling the world on his first arena tour. Even with packed Free Spirit Tour shows across the globe, the singer is still finding time to bring special moments to lucky fans.
The El Paso, TX singer treated unsuspecting restaurant patrons to a surprise performance of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.” A Facebook post shared by Smoke BBQ Restaurant in San Antonio, TX explains the performance was listed under a different name, but Khalid’s amazing voice and his newly iconic dad hat were immediate giveaways.
“The world stops when Khalid walks into your Restaurant on Karaoke night.. signs up as another name and sings his heart out!” the restaurant captioned a video of his stunning performance.
“What. A. Night. And what an amazing person,” they wrote. Aside from being one of the most well-loved new artists and continually breaking records with his hit that span across genres, Khalid is also known for his huge heart and connection to fans.
The Houston Chronicle reports that Khalid met with the owners, ordered the Pit Master Feast, and signed himself up for karaoke under the name “Roger.” He also stayed to meet restaurant guests and employees after showing off his vocals.
