Wendy Williams Is Off the Market: 'It Helps That He's a Doctor'

Wendy Williams has found herself a summer love.

The 54-year-old returned to her daytime talk show after a five-week hiatus and disclosed she has a new man in her life, according to People.

“Well, I’m not on the market anymore,” she told her audience on Monday. “I don’t know how I’m doing! I’m not in love, but there’s somebody that I’m crazy about.”

“You all think I’m messing around with a 27-year-old — 27-year-old boys, quite frankly, do find me very attractive. I get it,” she added. “But when it comes time for the comfort of a man, I need somebody in his 50s, too. And he’s got to work.”

While she didn’t reveal her new beau’s name, she did give other details about his job and personal life.

“It helps that he's a doctor," Williams continued. "I am not gonna say one more word, you're not gonna blow this for me. But he's been married, his kids are in their 20s, and yes, he's black. I know you’re wondering.”

Her new relationship comes less than three months after filing for divorce from her husband of 22 years, Kevin Hunter.

The pair split amid news that Hunter reportedly fathered a child with another woman. Williams and Hunter share a 19-year-old son.

Although she didn’t address Hunter directly during her show on Monday, she did say, “Listen, my family is doing fine, and I am doing fine.”
