Earlier this week, Carrie Underwood unveiled her CALIA swim collection at a launch event in the Hamptons. The latest in her athleisure line comes in soft colors and unique patterns, but it doesn’t feature any triangle bikini tops.
According to People, the “Cry Pretty” singer shared that she has never been a fan of the style. “I feel like with swimwear, growing up in my teenage years, early 20s, I couldn’t wear a triangle swimsuit,” she explained during the launch event. “I can’t do it, it’s not going to happen. It would never have happened.”
Instead, Underwood would rather rock something “pretty and functional”, and that’s what her CALIA collection is all about. “I think of myself running after my crazy kids and being at hotel pools, wanting to be cute but also not wanting to worry about things” she adds. “Everything stays where it’s supposed to!”
