Brooke Shields is opening up about her recent leg injury.
On Sunday, the 55-year-old star shared a video of herself walking on crutches in a hospital setting.
In the clip, the former supermodel is seen wearing a hospital gown and non-slip socks while practicing how to walk after injuring her right leg.
"Broke my femur. Beginning to mend. No matter what your challenge is, make a positive choice, for yourself, to move forward. #BeginningisNow," Shields captioned the clip.
In the video, she can be heard speaking to a medical professional, who is coaching her through the process.
She explains that she’s only putting “20 percent weight” on the injured leg.
"The goal is to bend your knee each time like a little bit, just so you're not dragging it or hitching up your hip,” she added as she makes progress taking tiny steps.
Shields did not reveal what led to the injury.
After posting the video, she immediately got plenty of support and good thoughts from celebrity friends
"Oh crap honey I'm so sorry let me know how you're doing R u home out west I can bring food,” actress Sharon Stone wrote.
Glenn Close also chimed in writing: "Brooke! So sorry! Courage ... it's in your blood. Sending love."
Shields has been very open about her impressive fitness regimen through the years as she's shared plenty of her workouts on Instagram.
In December 2019, the “Jane the Virgin” alum did crunches while suspended by her trainer with her legs hooked behind his arms.
"Defying gravity at the gym today,” Shields captioned the video. “Still feeling the burn.”
