Since many Halloween activities have been cancelled, retailers and brands have been coming up with spooky alternatives that bring the fun straight to your kitchen.
First Oreo rolled out a spooky graveyard kit with icing, cookie pieces, tombstone pieces, and candy assortments in purple and orange colors.
Then, M&M’s unveiled an eerie new chocolate cookie kit that lets you make a haunted castle decorated with the colorful chocolate pieces.
And now, Aldi has its own haunted house cookie kit. Instagram user @Aldi.mademedoit first spotted and shared a photo of the festive kit.
The kit looks similar to a gingerbread house but features chocolate-flavored walls instead for a more frightening look.
You’ll also find pre-baked cookies, colorful pre-made icing, and ghoulish candy treats in the shape of bats and pumpkins that allow you to create the haunted mansion of your dreams.
It even includes a cookie in the shape of a gingerbread man, though, since it’s Halloween, he’s probably a zombie gingerbread man.
At only $8 a kit, it doesn’t break the banks and makes for a fun fall activity that not only looks good but tastes good too.
While you’re getting crafty in the kitchen, get into the spooky spirit by putting on a Halloween-themed playlist or a family-friendly classic movie.
