Burger King may be known for the Whopper, but the fast food chain offers a lot of delicious food before you can (reasonably) eat a burger. The BK breakfast menu brings a host of meaty, cheesey, eggy sandwiches, along with a few other treats. Here are the best things to order in the morning at Burger King.
Last on the list only because they aren’t currently available, BK’s Cini Minis are the gooey centers of full cinnamon rolls, aka the best part of cinnamon rolls. They filled many kids’ tummies and dreams during the 1990s but were eventually removed from the menu. After a Change.org petition in 2018, BK revived the beloved sweet treat briefly. The Cini Minis deserve a permanent place on the breakfast menu and no ‘90s kid should rest until it happens.
In 2019, Burger King released new sandwiches on “maple waffle bread,” a sweet and savory waffle-like bun for their quartet of breakfast meat options. The sandwiches combine your choice of salty pork product with fluffy eggs, cheese and the mapley carbs. With ham or sausage (the bacon tends to go a bit limp), the sandwich is a dream team of BK flavor.
Breakfast Burrito Jr.
The behemoth known as the egg-normous burrito is an 800-calorie bomb that will start and end your day at 9 a.m., but the shrink-sized version provides eggs, sausage, cheese and hash browns in a more convenient package. The mixture of textures is well balanced, but it’s the spicy sauce you’ll come back for again and again.
French Toast Sticks
If you prefer to start your day with something sweet, opt for the french toast sticks. It’s a simple joy, just deep-fried bread and sweet maple syrup, but it’s the perfect sunny bump your a.m. needs.
Ultimate Breakfast Platter
Pile all of Burger King’s great breakfast items onto one tray and you get the breakfast platter. The scrambled eggs are like a warm hug for your tummy, the hash browns provide that necessary crunch, thick-cut smoked bacon is bacon and it’s great, and the short stack of three fluffy pancakes rounds things out and fills you up. Drizzle on the syrup and dig in.
Sausage, Egg and Cheese Croissan’wich
You can get BK’s signature breakfast sandwich with bacon, sausage or ham (or all three). While you might be tempted by the bacon, the sausage is by far the best option. The meat is extremely juicy, oozing into the other fillings and the absurdly buttery croissant buns to create a devilishly good morning treat for your tastebuds.
