Walt Disney World’s theme parks haven’t reopened from the coronavirus shut down yet, but you can now make a reservation.
"Good Morning America" reported that Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom would open on July 11. As for Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, those parks will open on July 15.
Before you visit one of the theme parks, you have to make a reservation on the new Disney Park Pass System to gain entry.
Who Can Make a Reservation?
Disney Resort and other select hotel guests with theme park admission will be able to make reservations for their length of stay. Annual pass holders will be able to make a reservation for up to three people at a time for their length of their visit if they stay at a Disney hotel. Existing ticket holders can also make reservations for the number of days of valid theme park admission.
If you want to visit a Disney theme park, reservations are currently available through September 26, 2021.
Now, if you hold a hotel reservation but do not have park tickets, you need to call the Disney Reservations System. The main number is (407) 939-1936.
How Do You Make a New Reservation?
People can purchase new Disney Resort hotel packages, new theme park tickets, and make park reservations for travel in 2021. When making a park reservation, guests will be able to view availability online before buying tickets.
If you’re looking to purchase a 2020 ticket, Walt Disney World will resume sales later this summer if any reservations are available. Guests with existing tickets and annual pass holders can make park reservations for 2020 dates.
Tickets impacted by park closure, or date-specific theme park tickets purchased through June 6, 2020, with a use period beginning March 12, 2020, or later, will be extended for use at any date through September 26, 2021.
My Disney Experience App and FastPass+
FastPass+ service will temporarily be suspected as Disney plants to maintain social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Extra Magic Hours have also been temporarily suspended.
People can still use the My Disney Experience App for digital room keys, checking into your hotel room, booking dining reservations, etc. Guests can also find the reservations they have made in the app.
